• Crowns

Crowns are used to restore and protect teeth with large fillings or loss of structure from future damage. Teeth which have received root canal treatment should also be protected from re-infection with a crown.

Unlike a filling, a crown fits overtop of the existing tooth, protecting it from all sides and restoring form and function. Crowns can be made from many materials, including tooth-colored ceramics that mimic the color and appearance of natural teeth.
